These pics were from my birthday on 8/31.

I wasn’t planning on celebrating since it’s not a milestone, but my family insisted. Who am I to say no to delicious food and great company?

If I had a child at the age of 18, they would have turned 18 this year.

My old boss taught me that 18 is a lucky number in Judaism because its the number for the word life. 36 is lucky being double 18.

I don’t want to be overly reflective since I have a lot to do right now. But my beard is starting to turn grey. Perhaps that’s for the better.

It’s finally sunny where I live. Yes, I live in CA and it’s summertime but just look at the picture in my last blog post and that is what it’s been like in my neck of the woods since mid-July until this week.

I finally set up a sound booth of sorts in my tiny place. And hooked up one of the new microphones I got. Hopefully I can learn Audition right away and get some demo reels going. I wish it hadn’t taken me this long to get started, but I guess I was trying to be too perfectionistic again and wait for the right moment. But better late than never.

I finally got my insurance situation settled as well. Took long enough, but at least I’m covered again.

Anyway. I think that’s enough for now.

Fog of war...

I know this is going to sound really vague, but the path hasn’t been very clear as of late. I honestly don’t feel like journaling at the moment, but I committed to keeping record here. All I’ll say for now is that there’s a lot of work-in-progress, and a lot of distractions as well. The only other thing I really have to say at the moment is that I’m very grateful for the growth I’ve experienced with my channel, however small, and it’s been an enjoyable endeavor. I’m making an effort to sell the last of my t-shirt inventory, even if I have to use channels I’d rather not. Anyway hopefully by the time I write another monthly update things will be better.
