End of Year (again...)

December 29, 2025

It’s kind of funny to me that the last time I wrote in this blog was before the end of 2024. And here I am again, writing before the end of 2025. Nothing in between…

I’ve kind of dropped the ball on keeping this updated, but 2025 was extremely busy in more ways than one. It was a very challenging year and I was forced on multiple occasions to decide what kind of life I really want to live. What I’m willing to tolerate and what I am capable of given the circumstances.

I know that is very vague.

To elaborate, there were three points this year that I was on the brink of 0. On each occasion, it seemed like GAME OVER. But somehow I managed to bounce back. I don’t even know if this most recent bounce will last. 2026 will tell.

The growth I experienced as a result is invaluable. And ultimately I decided that I’m going to live my life the way I see fit— not basing my actions on what I think would impress or satisfy others.

Now, let me cook.

Paradise…

End of Year

December 30, 2024

This year has been a real mixed bag. In April I decided to go down a different road, and it had a lot of rewards as well as setbacks.

I completed my first job as an audiobook narrator and I managed to create a community around a growing YouTube channel. I took back the reigns of my life and decided to pursue the creative path again instead of being content and complacent with the financial security I’d been blessed with.

The last couple of months have admittedly been somewhat difficult. There are times when I miss having everything taken care of for me, not having to think too hard about my life and just coasting along with the waves. But this is life, and nothing can be predicted.

Cycle

October 26, 2024

October marks a cycle for me.

In 2021 I left a job of 5 years right after my work anniversary in October and began a new job. Had I stayed with my last employer, this would have marked the third year with that company— it was also in October of 2023 that I was offered a promotion. But that’s all history. I’m about six months into a new cycle.

I’ve been working on the artwork above in my spare time. I may crop it down into a banner for my YouTube channel or something.

I’m leaving for a trip in a couple days so I’m up late packing and getting ready.
